"The Road Best Traveled"

Several of my recent pieces use the concept of roads to illustrate the various paths we take in our lives. "The Road Best Traveled" represents compromises made while attempting to reach goals. This particular road is specifically related to the development of public policy, with each opposing party steadfast in their resolve to meet a challenge “their way”. Conflict resolution is very often accomplished with give-and-take, blending the black and the white. I chose china as my medium, because the whole is made of pieces which are variable in size and shape.
