The descriptive term, "personal journey", describes the larger body of my work in a couple of ways. Much of the work is, indeed, representative of my experiences. I've used my art to work through issues that have haunted me for years. I've also found that I can describe concepts more fully when I describe them visually. Coping with growing older and all of the physical aspects is one thing, but I've also come to understand so much about myself and what it means to find and follow a path. The other way the descriptive term "personal journey" is applied is in relation to the technical development of my work, since I am often trying new ways of doing things, of using my materials to accomplish whatever it is I have set out to accomplish.
