"Hope", a series
These small pieces, which range in size from 10" to 12", represent a sort of metaphysical aesthetic. The first few in the series were created for specific people in my life who were in crisis, and so I originally called them my "healing" mosaics. By incorporating traditional and new age symbols, I wanted to communicate my desire for their worlds to be made right, or healed. As I worked through each piece, I was drawn to the essence of the symbolism & began combining these natural materials and design elements with an eye to positive results, a proactive approach, Hope.
