Uncommon Art in Mosaic
Virginia Gardner works from her studio in Earlysville, a small village located in the beautiful countryside surrounding Charlottesville, Virginia. Virginia’s work is noted for its intensity of color & bold use of textural elements. She creates two dimensional and sculptural pieces, incorporating a wide range of materials, from stained glass and shards of china, to found objects and natural materials such as jaspers and gemstones. .

"My work always begins with the materials. There may be a concept, a thought, something that I want to get off of my chest, but it's the way of combining diverse materials that stimulates a thought or emotion.
